BodiGuard was founded as a solution to an onslaught of anti-Asian hate crimes happening across the U.S., specifically in response to an attack against Vilma Kari, who was left for dead like roadkill. Our CEO and Founder, Sinakhone Keodara, set out on a course to rectify this situation by providing protection, security, and peace of mind to the Asian American community as they move through their lives. He was at once solving a problem for security personnel in their bid to find on-demand work and provide an accessible, on-demand way for everyone to hire security personnel. But, he found that the problem he was solving was more significant than the Asian diaspora. Unwittingly, he stumbled upon an issue where anyone, anywhere, can use our services no matter who they are, where they come from, what they look like, or their economic situation. At BodiGuard, we believe that everyone can and should have security details.
